SunPower Executives to Speak at Key Investor Events in May 2007

SAN JOSE, Calif.

SAN JOSE, Calif., May. 1, 2007  /PRNewswire/ -- SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR), a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer of high-efficiency, commercially available solar cells, solar panels, and solar systems, today announced that members of its executive staff will deliver presentations at key investor conferences in May 2007.

On May 2nd, Julie Blunden, vice president of public policy and corporate communications, will speak at the Jefferies 3rd Global Clean Technology Conference being held in New York City. Her presentation will begin at 9:45 a.m. EDT. Also on May 2nd, Blunden will address the Goldman Sachs Alternative Energy Conference 2007 at 3:20 p.m. EDT at the Goldman Sachs Conference Center, located at 32 Old Slip in New York City.

Manny Hernandez, SunPower's CFO, will deliver a presentation at the Deutsche Bank Technology Conference on May 15th at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. His talk begins at 1:55 p.m. PDT.

SunPower's CEO, Tom Werner, is scheduled to deliver presentations at the following New York City events:

  -- May 14th at the USB Alternative Energy Conference at 2:30 p.m. EDT at
     the Grand Hyatt Hotel
  -- May 15th at the Merriman Next-Generation Energy Conference at 9:00 a.m.
     EDT at Le Parker Meridien Hotel
  -- May 16th at the Wedbush Small-Cap Conference at 8:00 a.m. EDT at Le
     Parker Meridien Hotel
  -- May 16th at the Credit Suisse Semiconductor & Supply-Chain Summit at
     11:15 a.m. EDT.  The event will be held at the Credit Suisse offices
     located at 11 Madison Street.
